I got an account of Bank of Hawaii

I got a first account of Bankoh on 3rd June in 1999. My friend recomended me to do so. The rate of interest in Japan is too low now. For example, the rate of one year deposit account is 0.2%. All bank in Japan are same rate. I deposited \500,000(about $420) one year to a Japanese bank. After one year, I got only \600(about $5). In USA, there are many reates, but the rate of deposit is more than 5% at least now. My friend said, if you go to Hawaii and stay few days once a year at least, you have to have an accounnt of bank in Hawaii and send money for your vacation. If you do so, you can play something, playing golf or shopping and so on, by use interests you get. I deposited $600 in to my account because I had few money at that time. If amount of deposit is less than a level, USA's banks charges $10 to 20 to the depositor for keeping one account. In Japan, we pay no fee, if amount of deposit is small or large. After return to Japan, I tried to send money to my account in Hawaii. Because I thought that my amount is lower than standard of Bankoh after reading their explanatory notes. But I knew that I needed \4,000(about $32) to send money one time. Unbelievale. I wished I earned money by useing USA's bank account. Fortunately, I could go to Hawaii again, from 19th July 1999 with my family. One of the purpose of this tour was to deposit my money to Bankoh. It was first time that I went to bank alone in Hawaii. When I made my account, I went to bank with my friend. There are a branch of Bankoh at Kailua Kona. I used bank machine for deposit of my money, because I hesitated to go to the accept desk of bank. When you deposite your money by bank machine, you need a special envelope, which is near the bank machine, for one account. You have to write "name" and "date", "amount" and check your account(if you have some accounts, for example chekking or saving). And you put your money in it. The preparation is Okay. You put your bank card into the bank machine and type your password number. And choose your account, press "deposit", insart the envelope. That is all. I was strained first. But It was easy for me, I thought after finished. I tried to deposit my money at accept desk. There are the branch of Bankoh at Honolulu Airport. Before leaveing Hawaii, I went to there. At that time, US dollar were all finished, I had only Japanese Yen. So I tried to deposit Japnese Yen. It was too easy. There was nothing to worry whether I could do so or not.
