Internet access in Hawaii

My second purpose of this tour was trying to access to Internet in Hawaii. My friend has an office at Honolulu and a private remote access point. Some of them have two jacks, for analog and ISDN. But I could not find a public phone, which has a jack for PC in Hawaii. If some one know, please tell me. Therefore, I had to use the phone at my room in Condo. But when I went to the registration office of Condo, I heard that I could not use the phone, because the phone was an owner of the room. If I want to use the phone, I have to use it by collect call or credit card call, calling card. Ah.....! Calling card. What is calling card? The staff of registration office said that the calling card was a prepaid car and the shape was like a credit card. And she said anyone could buy it any shops. But I could not understand all she said. When I went to Waimea shopping center, I bought the calling card. You can buy it by a sell machine. There are two types, 60 points ($20) and 30($10). I bought 60 points type. But I did not understand how to use it. If I mistook to use it, I was charged the fee. I worried everything about it. The telephone at my room in Condo had a special jack for PC. So I could connect the modem cable to telephone directly. First, I tried to connect automatically. But it did not do well. Therefore I tried to connect manual operation. First I let PC to wait for connect and call 1-808-xxxx-xxxx, press calling card ID number XXXXXXXXXX, press the telephone number I want to call 1-800-XXXX-XXXX. If I hear the computer sound, press enter key. That is all. I could read and send some e-mail by this.
